The core pillars of the CIAC are:

  • Institutional Credibility: A center annexed to the High Court of Punjab and Haryana to ensure judicial oversight and administrative trust.

  • Fixed Fee Structure: Replacing the unpredictability of ad-hoc arbitration fees with a transparent, ad-valorem schedule.

  • Administrative Support: A dedicated secretariat to manage cases, ensure timeline adherence, and arbitrator empanelment.

This cutting-edge technology can prove invaluable in construction, infrastructure, energy disputes.

  • Standardization: To propose a unified set of rules (CIAC 2026) that align with UNCITRAL standards while being rooted in Indian procedural law.

  • Emergency Arbitrator Provisions: Enabling parties to seek urgent interim relief within 14 days, reducing the burden on the High Court under Section 9 of the Arbitration Act.

  • Summary Dismissal: A new rule allowing for the early dismissal of legally unmeritorious claims to save time and resources.

  • Diversity in Empanelment: A global panel comprising not only retired members of the judiciary but also technical experts in Construction, Intellectual Property, and Fintech.
